It is more easily seen from more distance, with one eye closed and with a non-moving head. Give it some time but even then not everybody may see it. Those who get that effect at arm length (only possible with one eye closed I'd say) may try the following: Hold the dragon at the other side (not the side you're viewing it) and when you have the effect stable then very slowly waggle (or move) the dragon a bit and feel what happens (your proprioception and your vision give you conflicting information and that can be funny).
